A "foot of lettuce," is a curious term for some women. But do we speak not in French "beautiful plants?
I found this pearl in the Folha de Sao Paulo about Marcela Temer, the frisky young wife of the new vice-president. Journalist who wondered why the expression, a Chiquinho Pisos back in the sense explained: "It's a way of speaking of a young, beautiful and delicious."
"Delicious," if not "tasty". In Portuguese, "gostosona. Must still say that one meaning of the verb "comer", also "eat" is "kiss" ...
